Kawasaki delivers coal carrier ‘Corona Utility’

Tokyo-based Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha has delivered 'Corona Utility' an 88,000DWT coal carrier to Marugame Shipyard of Imabari Shipbuilding in Japan, on January 13.

'Corona Utility', a vessel specialised in the transportation of thermal coal, is part of the Corona series coal carriers designed specifically for Japanese ports. With a wide beam of 38 metres and a shallow draught of 14 metres, the vessel is suitable for the discharge of cargo at Japanese thermal power stations.

The latest addition to the Corona fleet brings the number of vessels in the Corona fleet to 19.
