Jumbo has announced the name of its DP2 heavy-lift crane vessel (HLCV) Stella Synergy.
Scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2020, the 185-metre by 36-metre Stella Synergy will be powered by dual-fuel engines and can run on LNG.
The main crane will have a 2,500-tonne capacity.
Jumbo has opted for a triple hoist to allow for complex upending operations and also chose an active heave compensation (AHC) auxiliary block of 600 metres with a depth rating of 3,000 metres.
The second subsea crane will have capacity for 400 tonnes with an active heave compensation (AHC) main hoist to control the position of a load relative to the seabed.
The hull will be fitted with an X-BOW, enabling a consistent transit speed and offshore workability in severe weather conditions.
