Greek shipowner Globus Maritime, through a separate wholly owned subsidiary, has entered into an agreement with an unaffiliated third party to purchase a Kamsarmax bulk carrier built in China in 2018.
Globus said the unnamed vessel, which was acquired for US$27 million, possesses design features that help improve fuel efficiency. It is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2021.
The vessel will be the eighth bulk carrier to join Globus' current fleet.
