Japanese shipowner FJ Lines took delivery of a new 61,000DWT bulk carrier from Kawasaki Heavy Industries on Thursday, January 16.
The vessel, which has been christened FJ Viola, was completed at the facilities of Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (DACKS) in Dalian City, China.
The newbuild has an LOA of 199.9 metres, a moulded beam of 32.24 metres, a crew of 25, and one MAN B&W 6S50ME-B9.3 8,130kW diesel engine that delivers a speed of approximately 14.5 knots.
FJ Viola has five cargo holds with a total capacity of 77,539 cubic metres and optimised for the transport of grains, coal, ores, and steel products.
