Cyprus-based Castor Maritime, through a separate wholly owned subsidiary, has entered into an agreement to purchase a Panamax bulk carrier from an unaffiliated third party seller.
The vessel was completed in Japan in 2010 and is expected to be delivered to Castor by the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2020.
The bulk carrier was purchased for approximately US$12.75 million.
