Russia's Sevmash Shipbuilding laid the keels for two new Russian Navy Project 885M or Yasen-M-class nuclear-powered cruise missile submarines in a ceremony on Monday, July 20.
The submarines, which will be named Voronezh and Vladivostok, will be armed with Kalibr-M missiles capable of striking surface targets at distances of up to 4,500 kilometres.
Delivery of both submarines is expected in 2027.
