Pakistan’s first indigenously built warship hits the water

Pakistan's first indigenously produced warship, the fourth Azmat-class missile-capable fast attack craft slated for the country's navy, was recently launched at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW).

The 63-metre, 560-tonne vessel will be capable of achieving speeds of up to 30 knots. Its primary mission will be maritime border security.

The vessel was designed by Maritime Technologies Complex (MTC). It is the only one of Pakistan's four Azmat-class ships not to be built by Guangzhou Huangpu Shipbuilding.
