Indonesian Navy’s newest fast attack craft hits the water

PAL Indonesia has launched the sixth Sampari-class fast attack craft slated for the Indonesian Navy.

The future KRI Panah ("Arrow") was launched into the water at PAL's facilities in Surabaya during a ceremony with Indonesian President Joko Widodo as guest of honour.

Once completed, the future Panah will have an LOA of 60 metres, a beam of 8.1 metres, and armament including a 57-millimetre naval gun, a 20-millimetre autocannon, and Exocet anti-ship missiles. The vessel will be capable of cruising under Sea State Six conditions while weapons employment can be performed in conditions of up to Sea State Four.
