Jianglong Shipbuilding has been awarded a contract to build a coastal firefighting catamaran for use by the Petrochemical Fire Command Center of the Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone in Huizhou, Guangdong province.
The steel-aluminium vessel will have an LOA of 46 metres, a displacement of 600 tonnes, a design speed of 15 knots, and a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles.
The fireboat will also be capable of conducting search and rescue (SAR) missions.
