Usuki Shipyard launched a new Ro-Pax ferry being built for Japanese operator Kume Line on Saturday, January 19.
Named Ferry Kaiho, the vessel will operate along with the 2012-built Ferry Ryukyu on Kume Line's Kume Shima-Tonaki Jima-Naha ferry route once it enters service.
Ferry Kaiho has a length of 83.9 metres, a width of 13.6 metres, and a displacement of 1,200 tonnes.
