UK cruise company Ambassador Cruise Line has officially named its first ship, the 1991-built Ambience.

Originally operated by Princess Cruises as Pacific Dawn from 1991 to 2007, the 1,400-guest Ambience will initially serve 31 sailings calling at over 90 different ports. Itineraries include its four-night maiden voyage to Hamburg, which departed London Tilbury on Wednesday, April 20.

Subsequent itineraries include exploring the British Isles, the Norwegian Fjords, the Nordics, Greenland, the Arctic, and Iceland, plus several short break cruises. For the winter months, a range of exploration style voyages will sail to the Canary Islands, Cuba, the Caribbean, Cape Verde, and Scandinavia.
