Two people were injured after a fire broke out on a cruise ship berthed in the Thea Foss Waterway in Tacoma, Washington, on Thursday, May 16.
The blaze aboard American Constellation erupted just before 09:00 local time, the Tacoma Fire Department confirmed.
Firefighters immediately rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze in minutes. However, the ensuing smoke took several more hours to be cleared out.
The two injured individuals, who were the vessel's sole occupants when the fire broke out, were evacuated and treated by responding medical teams.
The Tacoma Fire Department has launched an investigation into the incident.
