The second of four river cruise ships of the Rhine class has been handed over to owner Crystal River Cruises at builder MV Werften.
Like its sister ship, the 135-metre by 11.40-metre river cruiser was specially designed for river cruises across Europe. It fulfils the highest safety and navigation standards, including a continuous, modern command bridge and a steering propeller for optimum manoeuvrability.
The design of the "six-star" Crystal Mahler is similar to that of private yachts, according to the owner. Features include light-flooded public areas with ceiling-high glass walls and 55 spacious suites with panoramic sliding windows, for a total passenger capacity of 110. There are also three gourmet restaurants, a spa and fitness area and a swimming pool with a glass roof on board.
