New Visby cruise terminal locks in first visitor

Baird Maritime

Cruise and Maritime Voyages' Astoria has been scheduled to be the first vessel to use the new Visby cruise terminal on the island of Gotland in Sweden when she calls on April 16.

Restored and rebuilt in 2013, the 16,144GT Portuguese-registered cruise ship carries just 550 passengers in 277 cabins.

The 160-metre Astoria is tipped to be the first of 67 cruise calls from 40 vessels at the port.
