Meyer Werft has cut the first steel for the second ship in the new Quantum Ultra-class ordered by Royal Caribbean International.
The ship, which will be named Odyssey of the Seas, is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2020.
It will have a length of 348 metres, a width of 48 metres, a draught of 8.5 metres, and capacity for 4,905 passengers at maximum occupancy.
Sister ship Spectrum of the Seas is scheduled to enter service with Royal Caribbean in April 2019.
