Fred Olsen Cruise Lines' cruise ship Borealis has returned to Liverpool, having completed its maiden operational voyage under its new owner.
The ship's three-day cruise took it around the northern British Isles. Among the embarked passengers were representatives from wildlife charity ORCA, who conducted wildlife research studies during the trip in addition to educating the other guests on the many species of whales and other marine mammals that lived in the surrounding waters.
Borealis originally sailed under the name Rotterdam with Holland America Line from 1997 until it was sold along with sister ship Bolette to Fred Olsen Cruise Lines in 2020.
