A cruise ship operated by Genting Hong Kong's Dream Cruises brand came to the rescue of three people on a distressed boat off Johor, Malaysia, on Friday, November 1.
Genting Dream had been sailing along its planned route when it changed course at the request of the Vessel Traffic Information System (VTIS) centre in Johor to render assistance to a small boat that was in danger of sinking.
The cruise ship then arrived at a point just off Tanjung Pelepas in Johor. The Dream Cruises crew were able to locate the three distressed sailors and bring them aboard their ship to receive medical attention.
Genting Dream later turned the three rescued adult males over to the Malaysian Coast Guard, which then brought them to shore in Malaysia.
The cruise ship has since resumed sailing on its original planned route.
