Nigerian offshore security firm Homeland Integrated Offshore Services (HIOSL) has taken delivery of two high-speed crewboats in a series from Damen.
The 33-metre-long Guardian 9 (pictured) and Guardian 10 have been configured as patrol boats to assist the Nigerian Navy in providing security for the country's coastal and offshore oil fields.
Each patrol vessel features a bullet-proof bridge, a crew of six, additional space for 12 security personnel, a 75-square-metre cargo deck, a range of 1,000 nautical miles, and an endurance of four weeks. Three Caterpillar 3,250kW engines will deliver speeds of up to 28 knots.
