A new crewboat has been delivered to a US operator while a Dutch firm places a rebuilt anchor handler in service. A UK builder launches a catamaran crewboat ordered by a repeat customer. Orders include those for six crewboats, a daughtercraft, and a floating gas processing unit.

Workboat enters service with Netherlands' Emar Offshore Services following refit

Netherlands-based operator Emar Offshore Services has placed a recently acquired workboat into service following a complete refit. Modifications to E-Nine include the addition of a push fender to her bow, making it suitable for multiple types of offshore and STS operations.

The vessel is equipped for anchor handling and towing with a shallow draught and a bollard pull of 70 tonnes. It is currently in Rotterdam for final preparations before towing a crane barge to West Africa.

UK builder selected for daughtercraft delivery to Purus Wind

UK builder Diverse Marine has been selected by the Vard Group for the construction of a new daughtercraft to be installed on a commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) ordered by Purus Wind. The 12-metre catamaran vessel, designed by Chartwell Marine, will feature a twin IMO Tier III-compliant Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system to reduce emissions.

WINDEA CTV acquires new catamaran crewboat

US operator WINDEA CTV has taken delivery of a new catamaran crewboat. Built by St Johns Ship Building of Palatka, Florida, WINDEA Enterprise belongs to a series that also includes WINDEA Courageous and WINDEA Intrepid.

Genting selects Chinese firm to build FLNG for deployment off Indonesia

The Genting Group, via subsidiaries Genting Oil and Gas and Layar Nusantara Gas, have awarded an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) to China's Wison New Energies for a new floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility with an output of 1.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Pursuant to the EPCIC contract, Wison will construct the FLNG facility at its shipyards located near Nantong and Zhoushan.

UK builder launches second crewboat in series

UK boatbuilder Diverse Marine has launched the second crewboat in a series ordered by local offshore support company NR Marine Services. NR Alpha is a sister vessel to NR Predator, which was delivered in March this year.

Mainprize Offshore taps Singapore builder for six additional crewboats

UK offshore support services company Mainprize Offshore has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore shipbuilder Strategic Marine for the construction and delivery of six crewboats in a series. The MOU also covers the optional acquisition of up to six additional vessels.
