Dutch shipbuilder Kooiman Marine Group has completed conversion of the workboat Anna-B into a DP2 multi-purpose vessel for local company Van Stee Offshore.
Zwerver I is Kooiman's first conversion project and will soon enter service with the Van Stee fleet alongside three other Kooiman-built vessels.
The workboat has accommodation for 58 people including the crew and an anchor line capacity of 1,400 metres. It is also capable of a bollard pull of between 66 and 69 tonnes.
Zwerver I will be deployed for work in tidal areas such as cable laying and repair, maintenance work, anchor handling, ROV support, and unexploded ordnance (UXO) clearance.
Van Stee Offshore owner Arjan van Stee said that only Anna-B's hull remained intact and "roughly 99 per cent" of the vessel has been completely renovated.
