Sinopacific starts work on new PSV series

On the morning of May 9, Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group's Zhejiang Shipyard started work on the construction of the SPP17 PSV series of offshore support vessel for France's Bourbon Company.

This is the eighth ship to be manufactured under the company's small ship line, and is to be certified by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

The SPP17 PSV was designed by Sinopacific Shipbuilding, and has a total length of 61.80 metres, a width of 14.00 metres, and a depth of 5.8 metres, with a design draught of 4.30 metres and a maximum draught of 4.90 metres. The waterline length is 61.58 metres, deadweight tonnage is 1,700 tonnes, and its service speed is 12 knots.
