China's Ouyang Offshore took delivery of its new wind turbine installation vessel, OuYang 1, at Dayang Offshore Equipment's yard in Jiangsu on Wednesday, October 10.
OuYang 1 is a self-elevating vessel with a large open deck. This allows the vessel to rapidly raise its hull clear of the water to provide a stable platform from which offshore construction and maintenance work can be conducted.
OuYang 1 is a four-legged, DP1, self-propelled vessel with a working depth of 50 metres and accommodations for up to 75 people.
Aqualis Offshore of Norway supervised the construction of the vessel.
