Subsea 7 subsidiary i-Tech Services and Leidos have signed a five-year digitalisation partnership deal.

The partnership will increase efficiencies in i-Tech Services' life-of-field capabilities by providing clients with greater insights into operations through the field lifecycle.

This relationship will leverage Leidos's expertise in digitalisation and enable i-Tech Services to significantly automate manual processes, reduce operating costs and utilise innovative technologies and capabilities.

Steve Wisely, Senior Vice President, i-Tech Services Senior Vice-President Steve Wisely said the collaboration would deliver a technology development plan that utilises big data, digitalisation and artificial intelligence to provide clients with greater insight for early decision-making.

"The partnership has already identified and initiated the first two development phases, which will see a focus on data acquisition, processing, analytical insight and data visualisation of i-Tech Services' integrity, inspection and survey services," said Mr Wisely.

Leidos UK Managing Director Neil Walton said: "The oil and gas sector is under significant pressure to optimise production and deliver services as efficiently as possible and this is a clear example of how Leidos can help transform performance by releasing the value held in data to deliver improved insight."
