Spain's Astilleros Gondán launched a new stern trawler into the water on Friday, June 5.
The Kongsberg Maritime-designed vessel is being built for Norwegian fishing company Engenes Fiskeriselskap. It will have a length of 69.9 metres, a beam of 16 metres, a steel hull, and an aluminium superstructure.
The trawler will also have accommodations for 29 people and onboard facilities for heading, gutting, and freezing of whole white fish including a freezer hold with capacity for 1,400 cubic metres.
The DNV GL-classed vessel will be operated in the Northern Atlantic, particularly in the Barents Sea and the waters off Svalbard.
