Karstensens Skibsværft has delivered a new pelagic trawler for Irish company Aine Fishing.
Áine replaces an older vessel of the same name that was also built by Karstensens in 2003.
The new Áine was completed on a hull built at Nauta Shipyard in Gdansk, Poland.
The 56.50-metre LOA, 12.50-metre moulded breadth trawler has a capacity of 1,136 cubic metres in eight tanks.
It is expected to operate on traditional pelagic species, targeting mackerel and horse mackerel.
Áine has six cabins, all with en suite facilities, while the skipper's and mate's cabin are contained in the superstructure.
The working deck aft is arranged with a pair of 61.50-tonne net drums for fishing gear, leading to a pair of hydraulically operated stern gates, each with a roller on top.
Karmøy Winch supplied Áine's deck equipment, including a pair of 61-tonne trawl winches with a Karm autotrawl system, a 60-tonne top line winch and a 36.80-tonne tail end winch.
