Icelandic fishing company Rammi has awarded local naval architects Nautic a contract for the design of a new beam trawler.
The 48- by 14-metre vessel will be built by Turkish shipyard Celiktrans. Delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023.
Key features will include cabins for 16 crewmembers, a 285-square-metre catch handling deck, and a 630-cubic-metre fishroom that can accommodate 590 tubs of 440 litres each.
Power will be provided by a 1,795kW main engine.
