Nashville-based Ingram Barge Company has christened the newest addition to its fleet of river tugs.
Built by Main Iron Works of Houma, Louisiana, Adrienne M. Moore has been named after Ingram's current assistant vice president for logistics and customer service.
The tug measures 78 by 32 by 10 feet (23.7 by 9.75 by three metres) and is powered by two Caterpillar C32 EPA Tier III-compliant main engines that each produce 1,000 hp (745 kW).
Ingram said Adrienne M. Moore is the first newbuild vessel to join the company's fleet in 40 years. Sister vessel Tom Cornwell, named after another Ingram employee, is currently under construction in Louisiana and will be completed in the coming weeks.
