Foss Maritime has taken delivery of a new ASD tug from Nichols Brothers Boat Builders (NBBB).
Rachael Allen is the fourth tug in a series ordered by Foss from NBBB. It is powered by two MTU EPA Tier IV-compliant engines that each produce 6,866 hp (5,120 kW).
The tug also features an SCR system for reducing NOx emissions to near-zero.
Foss will operate the tug in serving its customers in northern California.
