Solstad Offshore's Brazilian-flagged construction support vessel (CSV) Far Saga has been awarded a contract by Petrobras for a firm period of three years commencing in the third quarter of 2020.
Far Saga will be equipped with two work class ROVs from US-based marine robotics specialist C-Innovation suitable for operating up to 3,000 metres water depth. The vessel has been operating in Brazil since 2014 and will keep supporting exploration and production activities in the Brazilian continental shelf.
In addition, the CSV Normand Energy (formerly Normand Seven), has been awarded a contract with an undisclosed client. The vessel will be mobilised from a European port and the contract will commence late in the second quarter of 2020.
The contract for Normand Energy has a duration of four to six months.
