Conrad Shipyard of Louisiana has laid the keel for a new trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) ordered by Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company (GLDD).
The vessel will have a hopper capacity of 6,500 cubic yards (4,900 cubic metres) once completed.
The dredger will be delivered to GLDD in the first quarter of 2023.
