Focus on Marine Pilotage

Baird Maritime

This month's lineup of reviewed pilot boats include four vessels for operators in Ireland, the UK, and the United States built in those same three countries. The designs were developed in France and the UK with characteristic wave-piercing bows to help reduce fuel consumption as well as ensure more comfortable sailings.

As is standard with pilot boats, these new vessels are also versatile enough to undertake other roles such as search and rescue, thanks in part to their ability to operate under a broad range of weather conditions.
