We have been reviewing the Clarksons registers here for several decades. They were wonderfully informative sources of invaluable maritime intelligence when we were first introduced to them and they have steadily improved since.
Simply put, there is no better source of general and specific information about the state and extent of the vitally important bulk carrier sector of the wider shipping market than these vast and thoroughly researched products of London-based Clarkson Research Services. If you need to learn about any particular ship or its owner, this is the place to start looking.
Clarksons, of course, is now a significant public company. It also happens to be the world's largest ship broker and, with dozens of offices around the world, has its intelligence gathering tentacles delving for information, giant squid-like, almost everywhere.
Clarksons registers are not the kind of books you sit down to read from cover to cover. However, as well as being brilliant references, they can be a pleasure to delve into from time-to-time. It is amazing what treasures they contain.
