Turkey's Cemre Shipyard has launched Ronja Storm, a new live fish carrier being built for Norwegian operator Sølvtrans.
The 116- by 23-metre vessel will be the largest live fish carrier in the world with a fish tank capacity of 7,450 cubic metres once it enters operational service.
Upon delivery in the summer of 2019, Ronja Storm will enter into a 10-year contract with Tasmania-based salmon farming company Huon Aquaculture.
The vessel is due to be towed to Norway for completion at Havyard's facilities.
