Macduff Shipyards has delivered its latest newbuild twin rig trawler, ‘Rebecca FR 143’, to the Tait family of Fraserburgh, Scotland.
The new build replaces the Tait’s previous ‘Rebecca’ which was also built at the Macduff Yard in 2008 and is the third vessel built for the owners in less than ten years.
The new ‘Rebecca’ has a double chine hull form with a bulbous bow and transom stern. It measures 24 metres long, 7.4 metres in beam and has a depth of 4.2 metres.
Macduff Profilers, a division of the shipyard, supplied the steel kit for the vessel from cutting information supplied by Macduff Ship Design and the complete vessel was fabricated, engineered and fit-out at Macduff.
With the exception of the wheelhouse and masts the entire vessel is built from Lloyds Grade A steel.
The fish handling area has been customised to the owners desired layout and features a small watertight equipment room on the port side where a 2.5-tonne ice machine is kept along with another watertight room immediately aft which is used as a wet locker.
The main engine is a Caterpillar C32 ACERT rated 492kW at 1,800rpm close coupled to a Masson Marine reversing gearbox.
A Cummins QSL9 variable speed auxiliary engine, rated 246kW at 1,800rpm, is fitted and arranged to drive the hydraulic pumps for the deck machinery with a Centa Drive. Emergency hydraulic power is arranged with a pump fitted to a large capacity PTO on the gearbox.
Two Beta Marine generators are fitted, one to port and one to starboard, each based on a Cummins 6BT5.9D2(M) and Mecc Alte alternator, each with an output of 81.6 kW, 415/3/50.
Cialis Side Effects is just like any other medication but do not must to worry and believe that everyone is bad. There is nothing surprising in this. Everyone is simple and clear.
