Eastern Marine receives new tug

Eastern Marine has received a new tug, the Ems Boxer, formerly the Celtic Banner, to support offshore operations from the UK’s Lowestoft port.

Ems Boxer has a bollard pull of 43 tonnes, a length of 32.83 metres, a beam of 9.5 metres and a depth of 4.3 metres. It receives power from two Yanmar diesel engines.

The vessel was originally built by Hikari Kogyo in Yokosuka, Japan.
