‘Arklow Cadet’ successfully launched
On June 9, the carrier ‘Arklow Cadet’ was successfully launched at the Westerbroek yard of Ferus Smit in The Netherlands.
‘Arklow Cadet’ is the first vessel in a series of ten that will be delivered to Arklow Shipping from the city of Arklow, Ireland.
The ‘Arklow Cadet’ has a maximum carrying capacity of more than 5,000DWT, a single hold, and a 1A iceclass notation.
The vessel is propelled by a 1740kW MaK engine with a single ducted propeller.
